Book Your Free Consultation Today

1. How do virtual physical therapy sessions work?

Once you book a session, you’ll receive a secure video link via Zoom for your appointment. During the session:

  • We’ll discuss your medical history, symptoms, and goals.

  • I’ll guide you through movement assessments to evaluate mobility, strength, and functional limitations.

  • You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan, including tailored exercises and modifications based on your progress.

  • Access to PhysiApp, where your prescribed exercises come with detailed video demonstrations and tracking tools.

2. Do I need a physician referral for virtual physical therapy?

It depends. South Carolina allows direct access to physical therapy, meaning you can start treatment for 30 days without a referral. However, some conditions may require a physician’s approval, and if your case is complex or outside my scope, I’ll guide you on the next best steps.

I am also licensed in California and Oregon.

3. Why don’t you accept insurance?

I believe in providing transparent, high-quality care without insurance restrictions. Many insurance companies limit treatment options, dictate visit numbers, and require extensive paperwork that takes time away from patient care. A cash-based model allows me to:

  • Focus on personalized treatment instead of meeting insurance requirements.

  • Offer affordable and flexible pricing without surprise bills.

  • Provide extended session times compared to typical in-network visits.

You can, however, check with your insurance provider to see if you can submit your receipt for reimbursement under out-of-network benefits.

4. What’s the difference between virtual physical therapy and a prescriptive exercise program? insurance?

Virtual physical therapy includes evaluation, diagnosis, and rehabilitation guidance, ensuring you recover safely from injury or manage a condition under professional supervision.

Prescriptive exercise programs are for performance

enhancement, mobility improvement, and strength training, designed for individuals looking to optimize their fitness rather than recover from injury.

5. Is virtual therapy right for my diagnosis?

Virtual therapy is highly effective for many conditions, including:

  • Muscle and joint pain (back, neck, shoulder, knee, etc.)

  • Post-surgical recovery

  • Sports injuries and performance optimization

  • Balance and mobility training

  • Chronic pain management

  • Injury prevention and movement retraining

However, some conditions require in-person care, such as severe neurological disorders, certain post-operative cases, or conditions requiring hands-on manual therapy. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out for a consultation!
